Chios Island-Greece 2

Hi Everyone!🌞
Today,i will give information about villages that i've visited in Chios.
This villages are located in the south part of the island.
You can visit them by car,scooter or a taxi.
If you like the nature and historical places,these villages are definitely for you.

1)Pyrgi
If you follow the way to airport from center of the island,you can easily find the way of Pyrgi.The distance is around 20-25 kms.
The most charming thing in this village is its uniquely designed buildings.

These geometric shapes graved on buildings are part of a great tradition in this village.
You can also see these geometric shapes on handmade gifts.

After your sightseeing in the village,you can take a rest at the small square in front of the church.
It's definitely a good way to feel the ambience of this wonderful place.

2)Mesta
This village is also located on south of the island and distance from Chios city is around 30-35 kms.You will see natural beauty of island on the way of Mesta village.

It's a medieval village.It's designed as a castle to protect the village from pirates.And its small and narrow streets are designed as labyrinth.

I've lost my way inside.You can also have the same experience.
And i can easily say that buildings are well protected until today.

You can find good corners to take photos inside the labyrinth.

3)Mills

To see them you should follow northern way from center by seaside.

The view is absolutely charming.
